Videos of the NAM's mobile extinguishing system

The accompanying videos show the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and the commissioning of the mobile foam extinguishing system.

The Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM) purchased the mobile system from InnoVfoam BV, but it will be manned and operated by the fire brigade in Den Helder as part of the Noord-Holland North Safety Region's emergency response service. The special mobile foam extinguishing system will be used for fighting complex liquid fires. InnoVfoam designed, constructed and delivered the system in collaboration with the Smit firm from Den Helder.

During the FAT, which was carried out at InnoVfoam's production location, the system was tested with four extinguishing monitors and the results were excellent. The video of the FAT shows four monitors connected to the foam proportioning system mounted on the hook-arm container carrier. Normally, a maximum of three monitors would be connected to the system, but during the FAT, InnoVfoam was also able to demonstrate that the system works properly with four monitors.

On 20 January, the official festive commissioning of the system took place at the fire station in Den Helder. Because of the regional nature of the cooperation between organisations involved in the project, a large number of guests were invited to attend so they could admire the system first hand. More information about how the system works and the commissioning is given in this article.
