Recently InnoVfoam supplied a fire monitor system to protect a aircraft hangar in Germany. It concerns the hangar where the Eurofighters, the counterpart of the JSF, will be based.
After a short calculation this means the tenth aircraft hangar protected by InnoVfoam within two years time. A great performance that InnoVfoam hopes to continue in the future. The figure shows the experience that InnoVfoam has gained in hangar protection.
The pictures below show the components that were supplied. The whole project is a combination of eight electrically operated fire monitors and one operating system. Special about this project is the use of heat sensitive cameras that are mounted on top of the fire monitors. This means that also with dense smoke, the fire source can still be seen. On the operating system three displays are mounted that show the camera images.
Below you will also find some photos and a video of the commissioning.
